Day 12-San Francisco

Day 12: San Francisco

Howdy! Today we woke up at 7:15 (AMEN) to the warmth of the inside of a gym though Grant and some others were up earlier taking our laundry to be washed (thank goodness!). This morning we had a gourmet muffin from Walmart and some bananas for breakfast before we headed into the city of San Francisco.

Orange you glad we didn't say bananas

We loveee sleeping in.......7am

Bananas!!!!!!!!!!

Yummy muffins!

First stop, Sutro Baths! We were able to take a small hike and explore a cave. The counselors told us that it is usually cloudy here, but today it was sunny and blue skies all day long!!!!

Hey San Fran!!!!

Loading the bus, it's what we do best!

Man, wish we could stay here! Not!

On the way we drove by The Painted Ladies from Full House. We couldn't see much since the trees were grown in front of them to keep away the touristas like ourselves. It was neat though.

Once we did a little shopping and ventured over to the infamous Fishermans Wharf sign we received our maps and separated into our groups to explore the city. Many groups ran to In-N-Out and Starbucks to be first in line. Others headed to Union Square on the cable cars and buses to do some more damage to their bank accounts. As many of you know, we also found an Apple store today and called everyone we could. At about 3:30-4:00 everyone made their way to the famous China Town to have a late lunch and early dinner with Miss Kathy. We all enjoyed a nice sit down dinner together, which was honestly some of the best Chinese food we had ever had. Then we made our last walk through China Town as we headed back to the bus.

Hey Chinatown!!

Enjoying the colorful decorations of Chinatown!

More shopping! (sorry mom and dad)

Finally what we’ve been waiting for, we got to see and walk the Golden Gate Bridge! We all held hands and took 23 steps together on the bridge to symbolize our forever friendships that we’ve made. After the chilly, noisy walk we all had a photoshoot on the other side of the bridge before heading back to the gym to sleep.

Finally reached the finish line!

    Golden Gate Bridge pose!

So excited to see the bridge!

Everyone was delighted to come back to clean and folded laundry and take HOT showers! To finish off the day we all headed to bed pretty early to prepare for an early morning drive to Yosemite National Park. We are TIRED!

Hey parents! Staff here. We just wanted to add a little note to today's blog since we are officially Eastward Bound! We have had an amazing 12 days with your kiddos. This bunch is good! We have had some tough moments but they make the best out of every situation and we love them for it. Their friendships are growing and we see their personalities flourishing. We know they miss you, but we are all having a great time!

Much love,
Ms. V, Maddi, Ashley, Griffin, Justin and Grant (of course!)
